Make Croque and Apples with Brie Cheese and Fresh Rocket

Apple Ten Lork is an original material made from apples. The Volage EX-S sofa, now presented with a new thinner armrest, along with the Privé collection and Caprice and Passion chairs, designed by Starck for Cassina, have all been reinvented with this innovative material available in white, orange and black, in a challenge to explore beyond leather. All items on show are available to buy as limited editions.

Dale Levitski fills his croque-madame with the usual ham and cheese, but he also tosses in shallots and thinly sliced Granny Smith apples for some tart, crisp action. What makes this sandwich really special, however, is what Levitski does with the cheese: He covers the bread and the entire surface of the pan with grated cheddar and bakes it until the cheese surrounding the bread becomes golden and crisp, creating a round, halo-like crust. It's like having a sandwich and cheese crackers all in one.

Ahhh my dream is to go to Italy! Venice is definitely on the list, especially bc of the gondolas. I told my husband that we're not having children until we get to enjoy the sights and tastes of Italy, firsthand. So we'll see how that goes...haha. Oh man. I've been eating croque madames way before I knew it was a croque madame. But I put the egg in the sandwich. I think you've convinced me to finally try making a poached egg. I'll let you know how it goes!

I am a sucker for a good croque monsieur. Sadly, the last few I've encountered at LA restaurants have been very disappointing. Where does your husband like to go for one? (Aside from your kitchen.) ;)

Located in the beautiful region of "La petite-Nation", our orchard focuses on the production and discovery of hardy apple varieties for PYO. We currently have close to 30 varieties of various fruit beating trees (apples, plus, and pears). The orchard is made up of 5 acres with over 3500 apple trees. On top of choosing your own apples, you will be able to taste delicious apple must and ciders along with crepes topped with fresh Outaouais products in our bistro Champêtre. Take the time to walk around the orchard or have fun with your children in the play area.

A croque monsieur sandwich is a decadent meal to enjoy for breakfast, brunch or lunch, but is at the same time a very easy recipe to put together. It is also highly customizable and goes great with a wide variety of sides. If you are considering making some for your next brunch, read on to find a list of my favorite dishes to serve alongside croque monsieur.

Apples on sandwiches is a great way to get some crunch with your sandwich. Sometimes I even crush up kettle potato chips and put on a sandwich. Serve apples on sandwiches with various kinds of cuts and slices, thin, diced, thing wedge slices, grilled apple slices.

What Is the Difference Between Croque Monsieur and Croque Madame? A croque madame is simply a croque monsieur topped with a sunnyside-up or poached egg. The egg turns the croque into a more substantial meal and the runny yolk provides a rich sauce for the sandwich.

We've fallen in love with the croque monsieur in our household. The croque monsieur, a grilled sandwich featuring ham, Gruyere cheese and béchamel sauce originated in the brasseries of France as a hearty snack or light meal. You can turn the sandwich into a croque madame with the addition of a fired egg on top (health food, this is not). For the Cleaver family, the addition of ham and sauce take the grilled cheese to a dinner-worthy level, so when it came time to come up with a savory pie for my annual pie-luck, rec-creating this sandwich in pie form seemed like a no-brainer. 2ff7e9595c
